Abdiel Badillo Interested In Attending Prep School

IPRB confirmed this morning that Class of 2012 SG, Abdiel Badillo and his mother are looking to place him in an elite prep school for next year. Badillo is a rising star both on and off the court who has a 4.0 GPA. IPRB spoke to several club and high school coaches who raved about Badillo.

A source said, " Badillo is the type of player that doesn't come around very often. He's got exceptional talent, is a hard worker and will do some great things in the future both in basketball and more importantly in life".

PR Playmakers' Founder Todd Washington who is mentoring Badillo and helping him with the process of finding a school in the states said," We are excited that Abdiel has joined the PRP family! He is going to have so many options available to him because of what he has done in the classroom. Taking care of business in the classroom opens up options that most players never get a chance to access. Abdiel's mother has done a fantastic job of balancing his development both on and off the court. We've reached to Coach Carroll at NMH which would be a perfect fit for Abdiel. The process is just beginning and we will look at other schools but he really likes NMH. Coach Carroll does a exceptional job of developing and placing his players into the best colleges in the country. If we can get him into NMH that would be Abdiels' first choice."

Badillo said to IPRB about the possibility of attending prep school and NMH specifically, "I feel very exited about this possible opportunity. Northfield Mount Hermon is an awesome school with a great basketball program and a very great academic system. I really like it, it could be a very good opportunity for me."
